Mike Rowe Speaks To Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee [05-...

I think this is why we all like Mike Rowe of Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs and of the Mike Rowe Works Foundation. Take a look at how Rowe stands up for the workers of the world. Rowe reminds everyone that someone needs to repair the infrastructure and we shouldn't take the skilled laborer for granted. Mike Rowe spoke to the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee on May 5th, 2011. He discussed the need for change in the work force of USA's citizens to promote skilled trades as a desired job, rather than that being exclusive to jobs that requires a 4 year degree or more.

Rowe is championing a large campaign to stress the importance of skilled laborers. Part of his solution is the reinstatement of vocational arts programs in high schools and a referendum on society's view of the value placed on the people who repair, manufacture, and improve the things that make the comforts of life exist. For more info, check out the Mike Rowe Works Foundation. Rowe is also a huge supporter of I Make America.
