OWS Makes MTV! - MTV's 'True Life: I'm Occupying Wall Street' Preview

Occupy Wall Street becomes a reality show on MTV. The tiny movement has grown so large that it will be reaching millions of viewers on MTV in the form of MTV's 'True Life: I'm Occupying Wall Street'. This will reach a lot of the demographic who make up this movement.

Could this spark a second growth spurt in the movement as millions of young people see their peers out on the street demonstrating, identify with the protestors and join the movement? Will the 99% rebel against the fact that MTV is owned by Viacom, which is a giant corporation that is exploiting their cause for the very Wall Street profits they are protesting? Or will this just be another sad attempt by MTV at a ratings grab that will ultimately prove once again that Americans are just silly voyeurs stuck on their fat couches and, in the words of the prophetic Neil Postman, "Amusing Ourselves To Death"?

Let's see what unfolds.
